Privacy Policy

Optic View Productions LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the TreeDBH mobile application (the "App"). This policy explains how the App handles your information.
Data Collection
We do not collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data. Measurements, photos, notes, locations, and other data you create in the App stay on your device and, if you enable it, in your own private iCloud account. We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising services, and we do not sell or share any data.
Camera and LiDAR
The App uses your device's camera and LiDAR sensor only to measure tree diameter. This processing happens on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.
Photos
Photos you add to a tree are stored with that tree on your device (and in your iCloud if sync is enabled). We cannot access them.
Location
With your permission, the App uses your device's location to record where trees are measured, show them on the tree map, and include coordinates in exports. Location data stays on your device and in your iCloud, and is never sent to us. You can turn off location access anytime in your iPhone Settings.
iCloud Sync
If you use iCloud sync (a Pro feature), your data is stored in your private iCloud account, managed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it.
Exports
Files you export (CSV, Excel, or KMZ) are created on your device and shared only where you choose to send them, using your device's standard sharing tools. We have no access to these files.
Subscriptions and Payments
TreeDBH Pro subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple's App Store. Apple handles all payment information; we do not receive your payment details. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings.
Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.

Common Questions
How accurate is the DBH measurement?
TreeDBH uses your device's camera and LiDAR sensor to calculate Diameter at Breast Height. Accuracy depends on device model and measurement conditions.
Can I export my data?
Yes — TreeDBH Pro supports CSV, Excel, and KMZ export for use in spreadsheets, forestry software, and Google Earth.
Which iPhones are supported?
Measurement requires an iPhone with a LiDAR sensor (iPhone 12 Pro and later Pro models).
How do I cancel or restore my subscription?
To cancel, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select TreeDBH. To restore a purchase on a new device, open the Upgrade to Pro screen in the App and tap Restore Purchases.
Does the app work offline?
Yes, all core measurement features work without an internet connection.
